I received a report on the fly-in from Claude Roy:
"As for our fly-in, as you have guessed it, it was a wash. It never stopped raining the whole time we were there. We had no aircraft visiting, but about 40 people drove and we still cooked about one-third of our food. I delivered the rest to the Shepherds of Good Hope in downtown Ottawa. It certainly made their day.
"In conclusion, you did not miss much, but we still feel happy that we provided one more opportunity for pilots and neighbors to meet. We all left with wet feet, a smile on our face and a desire to do it again next year."
