Feb 20 - 21 the restaurant at Peterborough airport had closed quite suddenly.

A follow up with Nancy Hewitt, who works at the airport, confirmed that the closing was quite sudden - a notice was simple pinned on the door.

As an interim measure the airport will be providing coffee and snacks, but hopes to have an interim operator in place within about a week and then will be sending out an RFP for a long term operator.

Paul A. Tim Horton's will "get it" but the small Canadian businesses that need the aviation/pilot market will often miss opportunities like this.

Tony's Mile Hi at RFC is often closed or opens late during the semi-annual "Clean-up Day", or the morning of the AGM, and on long weekends when everyone is at the Club bright and early. 80 potential customers milling around, hungry, and several volunteers doing Tim Horton runs.
